Are you new to the MOK Ski Bus Trip? If so, read this section carefully so you know what to expect.
Regardless of what people like Riva think, traveling by bus is really cool, and at MOK Leisure Unlimited, we travel in style. Transportation to Killington is via a modern luxury motor coach with TVs, VCR, DVD, and Bathroom. It's really quite comfortable, relaxing (no long drive), and it's fun! Lots of folks say the ride up is one of the best parts of the weekend.
Wanna party? We've got beer, wine, soda, and munchies for the entire trip up.
Wanna eat? There will be a delicious PIZZA dinner on the bus so you don't even have to eat before boarding.
Wanna hang out? We'll be listening to music and socializing all the way up, and watching pictures and movies all the way back.
Here's how it goes.
The bus will start in Tinton Falls, NJ (right in front of my house, to be exact). We will pick everyone up at about 3:00 PM, load the bus, and depart by 3:30PM SHARP. From there, we will head to Secaucus, arriving there between 4:00 and 4:15, pickup those folks and head to the Teaneck bus stop, arriving there between 4:14 and 4:25. We'll load all of the Teaneck people onto the bus and be out of there no later than 4:30PM (assuming no natural disasters or irresponsible bus drivers).
About 20 minutes after leaving the Teaneck pickup location, we'll stop and pick up the pizza and then head straight to the new Newburgh pickup location. While travelling to Newburgh, we will begin eating, being sure to save some for the Newburgh people. As soon as those people get on, we'll give them their pizza and continue to drink, party, and hang out all the way to Killington. We will hopefully arrive in Killington by about 10:00PM.
Sunday, the bus will leave the base of Killington at about 3:30PM. We'll stop shortly after that at a fast food restaurant for dinner (you pay for this). Then we'll get on the bus and watch movies all the way home.
The bus will also be taking us various places including dinner throughout the weekend.

There are rooms with 1 or 2 double beds, and prices are based on what
room type you go with and how many people are in there with you. See the
prices above.
There are some other options. They have a few rooms that sleep three,
with a small single bed. If you want that, call me.
The prices listed above include a two day unrestricted lift ticket, which is what most people want. Other options are also available. Prices for these options are listed in the table below.
I don't need
a two day ticket
If you don't want to ski two days or you have your own tickets, you
can get a one day ticket, or even get no lift tickets.
I
don't own any ski or snowboard equipment
Don't worry. You can rent skis or snowboards, boots,
poles, and even a helmet (Helmet rental now included with all rentals)
from Killington, for a small fee of course. Actually, it's not
that small. You might do better renting from your local ski shop. This
saves you a few bucks and avoids the long rental lines Saturday
morning.
I'm
not very good, I need a lesson
Killington has an excellent group lesson plan for people of all
ability levels. Starting in 2010, you no longer order the lessons
through me. You must call the Killington Ski School directly at
800-923-9444 and reserve your lesson time. Mention MOK Leisure and you
will get a 25% discount. You will need to pay when you make your
reservation.
But
Mitch, I've never ever skied at all
Killington offers a special learn to ski package which includes
equipment rentals and intro lessons for a special low price.
This is an excellent deal. The only catch is that the lift
ticket you get is only good for the very beginner areas. Of
course for most beginners, that doesn't matter. I'm not entirely sure
I can get this with the new lesson policies, but I can check if anyone
is interested. Call me.
